Well it isn't so much like fall here anymore. It snowed a little today and it's darned cold. And to punctuate the weather the kids all have a cold to mark the beginning of the dark cold season. Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays and decorating for winter but I am sad that fall couldn't have stayed a little longer. Maybe it will come back a little this month but I doubt we'll see too much of the slow mild weather and color change outside.
In our life right now I am remodeling/redecorating the entire back area of the house. Hanging new window treatments throughout the house. Struggling with school. I have political science, calculus, and cultural geography this semester. I just feel so lost without any biology to keep me grounded! I may change my major from environmental studies back to biology. I just signed Annika up for an after school program once a week at the library. But that means more running around and picking up with all of the kids along.
Xander has maintained an average of ten of these episodes per day. The GI doctor in Boise won't take our insurance so we are in the process of getting a new pediatrician in La Grande. Once we see him on Monday I am hoping we get a referral back to Portland to a pediatric GI specialist unless there is a closer one. We need to confirm or rule out Sandifer Syndrome at this point. We are working with a speech pathologist and early intervention. Xander is walking all by himself though. And he got his first haircut yesterday. Eva's little curls keep her from needing one.
