Spring

I'm so sorry for no updates. We've been putting along like normal here. I am in the last two weeks of this term at school so it's crunch time for me. We are going on vacation for spring break but the length and destination are still in discussion. At least one day will be at Disneyland, for my birthday. However our vacation fund was cut short by an unexpected trip to the vet with Koda. He went out to use the bathroom like normal but when he came back in he wasn't breathing right. After listening to him breathe funny all night we took him to the vet today. Turns out he was hit by a car, he had multiple injuries including broken ribs and a split spleen. They removed his spleen and fixed his diaphragm which inflated his lung back up. He is now in recovery and should join our family again tomorrow. We don't mind cutting our vacation short though, it's worth it for a loved one.
Annika is in a reading club once a week and has been doing a math club that will run until spring break. She is taking dance again once a week, and just signed up for T-ball. She's a very busy six year old and loving it.
Keagan has been doing great in school, he is able to print his name and he is going to a farm this week. He had a double ear infection a couple weeks ago but he's doing better now.
Eva is now 24 lbs 10 oz and 30 3/4 inches long. She is a climber, we had to move her bed today because she used it to try to climb on top of their closet shelf. She can no longer be in a playpen, highchair, or excersaucer without climbing out. She is a singer and a dancer and is saying no no no to her brother now.
Xander is a moose, he's 28 lbs 6 oz and 32 1/4 inches long! He's still on the same medicine with little change. He's a dancer and his favorite movie right now is happy feet, we call him our little mumble. His favorite word is hi and he likes to wave. He loves to throw stuff, we got him some nerf balls for this but he chewed them up and stuck the foam up his nose. That was a quick trip to the ER. Since then I've had to hold him down and pull out more things for about a week now. I will be so glad when this stage passes.
My dad was sick with a cold for a while last month. He's better now but his hip (which was replaced a few years ago) has been giving him a lot of pain. He hasn't moved off the couch much in about 3 weeks ... which if you know my dad is very very rare. This has left him very frustrated. He goes to the doctor on Wednesday for blood work and a physical, we're hoping they have some idea of something that may help him.
So as I said, daily life is just going on. I have no new pictures but on Spring break you know we will have a lot. I'll keep everyone updated on ... well us!
Take Care!
