New Fall New Memories

Our summer has had so many ups and downs, too many to share in one blog post. Those of you who are close with us know many of them already so I'm going to just leave it at that for this summer.

This fall will be busy for us since both Annika and Keagan are playing soccer. Today was Eva and Xander's 3rd birthday, wow how time can fly. I have Xander on a low fructose diet and he's been off his medicine for 3 weeks now. He still has to watch what he eats, and make sure he has plenty of fiber or he gets stomach cramps but no seizure episodes or anything and no more laxatives. I'll just keep monitoring his diet and see if we can keep him going in the right direction. The twins are going to start attending an early preschool here in town twice a week. Annika is in the 3rd grade and Keagan is in 1st this year, they are both excited for a whole new school year.

My dad is home bound now, he isn't able to move off of the couch very well without the help of a walker and someone there to keep him on his feet. He just got over a virus that caused him to lose a large amount of weight and he still isn't eating or drinking as well as the doctor would like. Our goal is to keep him at home as long as possible and comfortable. He's on oxygen all day now and just rests most of the time. I helped him sit up and he ate cake and ice cream today during the twins' party! I would say it was for the kids but I know my dad lol I think if I made cake every day he would put that weight right back on!

I start school at the end of the month and I'm hoping it goes better than spring term which didn't end as well as I would have liked. I'm only going half time so I can take care of Dad and help the kids with their school and sports.

Here's a couple pictures of the twins party, I hope everyone else is enjoying the change of season as it approaches.
