- Xander should outgrow these episodes
- They could end tomorrow or when he's a teenager
- These do not cause pain that we know of
- There is no cure
- There is nothing that can be done for him during these spells
- He does not have an attack if we are holding him, but picking him up does not stop them
- He does not have an attack while sleeping, which is why using a barbiturate that made him sleepy slowed down these attacks
- He is on target for a one year old, even considering he was a preemie
- These disorders may or may not be associated with developmental delays, we hold out hope that Xander develops normally and so far so good
- Early signs of these disorders were apparent (torticollis) but it wasn't diagnosed and was assumed to be normal
This is just part of who he is right now, it sucks but that's life. Keagan had severe asthma, eczema all over, and multiple food intollerances and was a very sick little guy his first couple years and look at him now! I hope some day Xander is driving me up the wall the same way. And yes I'm aware I will regret those words some day.
